FROST DAY AT THE FROST PLACE

SUNDAY, JULY 6, 1:00 – 4:45 PM

A Frost Day celebration will be held at The Frost Place on Sunday, July 6, 2014.  Established by former New Hampshire Governor Hugh Gallen, Frost Day is now held annually at The Frost Place as a celebration of the life and work of Robert Frost.

At 1:00 PM a ceremony honoring The Frost Place’s founding director, Donald Sheehan will be held. A granite bench honoring Mr. Sheehan will be dedicated and memories of his time at The Frost Place shared.

At 2:30PM interactive activities are planned for children by Frost Place staff member, Sarah Audsley.

Cammy Thomas, will lead an interactive discussion of one of her favorite Frost Poems beginning at 3:00 PM. Robert Crawford, founder of the Hyla Brook poetry series will read from his work beginning at 3:45. The festivities will be capped off with a reading by Rebecca Foust,  the 2014 Dartmouth Poet in Residence at The Frost Place, which begins at 4:15.

It’s a fun-filled day celebrating Robert Frost and poetry as a living art.  Bring your friends and families!
