2015 Teacher Fellow: Jean Kanzinger

Jean Kanzinger is a high school English and communications teacher. She attended the Conference on Poetry & Teaching in both 2010 and 2013 and has served as a teacher consultant to The Frost Place. The conference, for her, has been an endless source of inspiration, comradery and ideas for effectively teaching poetry. She writes a quarterly blog for CavanKerry Press on poetry in education. Jean is a National Writing Project Teacher Consultant and serves as a member of TC Council for the NWP site at Kent State University. She has taught poetry to students of all ages (K-12) and has conducted workshops for language arts teachers on poetry instruction. She currently teaches English at Chagrin Falls High School in northeast Ohio.
