Conference on Poetry and Teaching Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I pack?

Evenings get chilly in the White Mountains, even in August! Remember to pack warm clothes for the evening readings. We also recommend bringing a flashlight and bug spray. There are plenty of shops where you can buy these items if necessary.
  • What are my lodging options?

There are many comfortable and affordable options for lodging near The Frost Place, where classes and readings take place. See our accommodations page for more details. Note that lodging is not included in the Conference on Poetry and Teaching tuition.
  • When should I arrive?

Sunday, July 25 begins with introductions and a morning class. We recommend arriving the evening before the Conference begins, Saturday July 24.
  • I have a food restriction or allergy, can that be accommodated?

Yes. Please notify us of any food restrictions ahead of time and we will advise the kitchen staff accordingly.
  • How do I apply for Graduate Credit?

If you would like to register for graduate credit through Plymouth State University, you must also complete the Apply for Graduate Credit form and follow the instructions on the form to submit. Note that it is still necessary to apply for both the Conference on Poetry and Teaching at The Frost Place and for graduate credit at Plymouth State University in order to be eligible for either.
