The Paul Monette LGBTQIA+ Fellowship to attend The Frost Place Poetry Seminar

A full fellowship is available for an American poet writing in English who identifies as LGBTQIA+ to attend the 4+ day annual online Poetry Seminar (August 2 – 6, 2026).

We will accept applications March 1 – May 1, 2026.

Staff of The Frost Place will pick one winner, to be announced in May. The Paul Monette Fellow must be available for the entire Seminar, and will take part in all aspects of the Seminar free of charge.

The fellowship is funded by an anonymous donor. Paul Monette (1945 – 1995) was an American author, poet, and activist who wrote about sexual identity and the AIDS crisis. He won the National Book Award for Becoming a Man: Half a Life Story in 1992. He died of AIDS in 1995.
