Details
In a workshop-style group setting, young writers will explore the traditions and the craft of creative writing through reading, writing, and revision of poetry and other short forms. We will read and write from various types of poetry, dialogue, and some short fiction. A final celebration of our work will be held at the end of the weekend with a special reading in the historic Henry Holt Barn at The Frost Place. See our sample schedule.
To ensure focused attention, this workshop is limited to 10 participants.
Cost: $130 per student. Need-based tuition assistance may be available.
Other details: Students should bring a notebook and pen, a water bottle & lunch. Students should wear proper footwear for potentially damp and uneven terrain, and clothing appropriate for chilly mornings. Computers will not be needed. You’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of poetry and other forms of creative writing, a small collection of Frost’s poetry, and even some TFP swag!
