Revisiting Frost’s “Birches” to Create Visual Interpretations

Read Frost’s poem “Birches” aloud using a well-illustrated book or a video you can find on sites like youtube.

Now, illustrate the poem yourself! Be prepared to share. For younger students, working in small groups with each student taking a section would be good. 

For older students, making a picture book to share with younger students would be a good way to investigate and then share the poem.

If students have the technology, they could make a short video using local images that they can then share in class or with selected groups (parents’ night, school assembly, other classes, retirement homes…).
