A permanent home and museum for poets and poetry

Directions

In Franconia, New Hampshire, just off Interstate Highway 93 — a 3-hour drive from Boston, or 1.5 hours from Concord, N.H., or half an hour from St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

At Exit 38 turn south (toward Franconia) off the ramp and stop at the blinking light on Main Street (Route 18), then continue straight on Route 116 for one mile. You’ll see a sign for “Robert Frost Museum.” Turn on Bickford Hill Road and cross a small bridge. At the wooden sign for The Frost Place, bear left onto Ridge Road, and drive slowly a quarter of a mile up this small dirt road until you see a parking lot on the right. Due to ongoing logging to clean up after severe winter storms, the parking lot may be filled, so follow signs to parking spots.

Buses and RVs can drop off passengers at The Frost Place, drive on to the end of Ridge Road and turn left on Lafayette Road, then left again, back on to Route 116. Drive back to Bickford Hill Road and turn left there, then park in the larger parking lot on the right.
