Year-Round Virtual Classes and Workshops
The Studio Sessions offer year-round online programming: generative and revision workshops, manuscript support, readings, teacher roundtables, seminars, lectures, and more. Our goal is to honor the heart of the Frost Place—its commitment to poetry and the teaching of poetry—while moving toward broader engagement with other art forms and endeavors. As our program grows, we look forward to hosting sessions led by some of the finest poets, artists, and teachers working today. Learn more about our core staff here.
“I envision the Frost Place Studio Sessions as a web, expanding outward from the heart of our current commitment…toward broader engagement with other art forms and endeavors…our offerings might not only include generative writing programs, revision workshops, manuscript reviews, readings, seminars, and lectures but also forge connections with film, theater, music, dance, visual arts, history, and even gaming, with the goal of creating and revealing pathways among these practices. “
Dawn Potter, The Frost Place Studio Sessions Creative Director
This year we’ve introduced our Poets’ Table offerings–a series of informal, welcoming, online gatherings for poets and their friends. These short, peer-led sessions focus on community, accessibility, and fun. They are open to anyone, at any level of experience.
We’re also thrilled to announce our first Teachers’ Round Table offerings, a series of online gatherings centered around topics related to poetry and teaching. These informal, collegial, professional-development sessions are led by skilled teacher-poets, who share their expertise in using poetry effectively and creatively in the classroom.
