U.S. poet laureate Joy Harjo reminds us that “Change rides in on many speeds.” The change of seasons is no exception, and spring in particular opens us year after year into transformation and wonder.
In this welcoming workshop, master teacher Beth Curran will introduce several poems that center on transformation and will invite us to try our hand at writing our own.

About Beth
Beth Curran has been teaching high school English for twenty-four years. In 2019, she served
as the Schafer Teaching Fellow at the Frost Place Conference on Poetry and Teaching. In 2020, she was a finalist for the Key West Literary Seminar’s Scotti Merrill Award. Her own poems often centers around on the mysteries and everyday wonders of being a woman, wife, and mother.
They have appeared in the Worcester Review, Love’s Executive Order, High Shelf Press, the Write Launch, and elsewhere. A born New Englander, Beth now resides in northeastern Florida with her husband and three children.
