Join us for Robert Frost’s Birthday Reading of Mountain Interval, an evening of poetry rooted in place, read by some of our former poets-in-residence.
Robert Frost published the book Mountain Interval in 1916 while living in his home in Franconia, NH. Today, this home is a house museum and center for poetry and the arts—now entering its 50th year—where our poets-in-residence have, through the years, had the chance to live and work.
This anniversary is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with some of our former resident poets, who will bring to life Frost’s Franconia-era poems. Mary Jo Salter, Cleopatra Mathis, Julie Agoo, Rosanna Warren, Sharon Bryan, David Graham, Jeffrey Skinner, Sue Ellen Thompson, Mark Cox, Gray Jacobik, Adrienne Su, James Hoch, K.A. Hays, Rebecca Foust, Todd Hearon, Matthew Minicucci, and Nathan X. Osorio will take part.
The reading will feature a selection from Mountain Interval, with each former poet-in-residence also speaking briefly about what their time in the house meant to them.
Tune in live, or catch the recording later on our YouTube channel.
